Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Mazadat Masr and its auction, listing, buying, and selling services.
Last updated: October 20, 20261. Operator and service
The platform is operated by the Egyptian company mazadatmasr.com at Online marketplace serving all of Egypt; phone +20 1012100435. We provide technology that lets users list, bid, buy, and sell. Unless expressly stated, we do not own listed items and are not their seller.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 and legally capable of entering transactions.
- Provide accurate, current information and protect passwords and verification methods.
- You are responsible for account activity and must report unauthorized use promptly.
- We may request additional buyer or seller verification for security or compliance.
3. Seller duties
Sellers must be legally entitled to sell an item and provide accurate descriptions, images, condition, price, location, delivery costs, and material defects. Sellers remain responsible for licensing, tax, invoice, warranty, and regulatory obligations applicable to their business.
4. Bidding and purchases
Review the listing and all costs before bidding. A winning bid is a serious commitment to complete the transaction, subject to any reserve, disclosed seller terms, and mandatory legal rights. System records are authoritative if displayed timing or bid information conflicts.
5. Prohibited items and conduct
Illegal, stolen, counterfeit, dangerous, infringing, or otherwise prohibited items may not be listed or requested. Shill bidding, false accounts, fee avoidance, misleading content, abuse, and interference with the service are prohibited. We may remove content, restrict accounts, and notify authorities where appropriate.
6. Price, payment, and delivery
Prices are normally shown in Egyptian pounds unless stated otherwise. Available fees, taxes, and delivery costs should be disclosed before completion. Payment and delivery are handled between the parties or through the provider displayed in checkout.
7. Cancellation, returns, and consumers
Cancellation and return rules depend on the seller, item, and auction type, without limiting mandatory consumer rights under Egypt’s Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 and related rules.
8. Technical events and disputes
We may pause, extend, or cancel an auction after a material technical failure, fraud, obvious error, or violation. We may help document disputes, but users remain responsible for transaction obligations unless a specific service states otherwise.
9. Intellectual property and privacy
Each party keeps its rights in content and marks. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, display, format, and promote it to operate the service. Our Privacy Policy forms part of these terms.
10. Suspension and liability
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or threaten users or the platform. The service is provided as available, and we do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or completion of user transactions. Liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed by law, without excluding rights that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Law, updates, and contact
Egyptian law governs these terms and competent Egyptian courts have jurisdiction over disputes not resolved amicably. We may update these terms and publish the new effective date. Legal inquiries: Contact legal team.
12. Marketplace messages, monitoring and records
Mazadat Masr provides marketplace messaging to help buyers and sellers communicate about a listing, offer, bid, handover, delivery or dispute. You must use messaging lawfully and must not use it for fraud, harassment, spam, prohibited goods, impersonation, payment credential collection, or to evade platform safeguards or applicable fees.
You acknowledge that marketplace messages are stored by Mazadat Masr and are not end-to-end encrypted. Authorized administrators may read, review, preserve and export messages when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, support, enforcement of these Terms, dispute resolution, legal claims, compliance with law or a valid request from a competent authority. Administrative access and evidence exports are logged and restricted.
Mazadat Masr may preserve a conversation and associated listing, account, offer, bid, reservation and order records under a legal hold. The platform may rely on those records when investigating or resolving a dispute. Users may report a conversation or provide a case reference to support an investigation.
To protect users and preserve a reliable transaction record, users must use the Mazadat Masr messaging system for communication before a transaction is completed. Do not place or send phone numbers, email addresses, WhatsApp numbers or links, social-media handles, QR codes, website addresses, or any other off-platform contact method in an auction or ad title, description, photograph, document, profile, public field, or marketplace message. Do not ask another user to continue the conversation outside the site.
Mazadat Masr may mask or remove prohibited contact details, reject, unpublish or remove the auction or ad, restrict messaging or listing activity, or suspend the account when reasonably necessary for user safety and enforcement. Repeated or deliberate violations may result in permanent account removal. Contact exchange may be permitted only through an approved platform flow after an accepted offer, auction result, or other recorded transaction milestone.
Mazadat Masr does not guarantee the identity, conduct, payment or performance of another user merely because messages or transaction records exist. Preserve your own lawful records and promptly report suspected fraud or a dispute.
13. Account activation and WhatsApp phone confirmation
Account activation and WhatsApp phone confirmation are two separate steps. Account activation is completed through the email link sent after registration. Mazadat Masr may require confirmation of a valid Egyptian WhatsApp number before a protected marketplace action such as listing, bidding, buying, checkout, or contacting a seller.
To confirm the number, the user must send the exact time-limited message prepared by the site from the same WhatsApp number entered in the account to the official Mazadat Masr business account. The one-time token is not a password. Users must not alter or share it, add sensitive information, use another person’s number without permission, or attempt to bypass the confirmation control.
Successful WhatsApp confirmation proves control of the number only. It does not verify legal identity, grant a “Verified Seller” status, constitute an endorsement, or guarantee a listing, seller, buyer, payment, delivery, or transaction. Seller identity verification and any verified-seller badge are separate processes.
Optional WhatsApp alerts require a separate opt-in and a confirmed number. Users can change that preference in their profile. Misuse of the confirmation or messaging process may result in proportionate security restrictions under these Terms.
